About Me

I found my creativity just over 10 years ago and have loved exploring different mediums to create/replicate things that I’ve seen or needed but couldn’t find. Then, I had children! When their birthdays came around, I really wanted to fulfil their cake ideas (Supermum! Tra la laa). It wasn’t always easy and really has been a ‘learn as I go’ journey!

 

Along the way, some fantastically supportive friends and family have been happy recipients of cakes that have allowed me to practice techniques, recipes and styles.
I’m really lucky to be collaborating with a fantastic lady called Sally Parkinson. Sally has her own photographic business – Sally Parkinson Photography.

My favourite thing about cake making is that you take a bunch of ingredients, apply some magic (problem solving, construction, engineering, artistic license and time) and the chemistry happens! It’s never just a cake!

 

Cake is the starting point, but I want to use other crafts to compliment this. I’m constantly looking towards different craft genres to get ideas that I can use in my cake making and decorating, to produce something interesting, tasty and unique!
